I was only 10 but it was a birthday worth remembering. Only two other friends were invited to come over to play, and although I didn't have much, the party was still a blast. My dad had made it extra special by making thank you cards for me to give. On the card it had a group picture of us playing video games. It was pretty awesome.

I was in grade 1. I didn't know better. When I was home at lunch I decided it would begun to not wear underwear to school. I was wearing shorts that day too. At school, sitting cross legged on that carpet I was worried the other kids were looking up my shorts.

Glass of Milk with a Straw Please

As a kid, my mom would give me a glass of milk before I go to bed. And with every glass of milk there would be a straw. I always thought if I blew bubbles in my milk I would get more; I thought I was such smart cookie by doing that! One evening (I was 5 at the time) my mom forgot to put a straw in my glass and I questioned her why there was no straw. Her response was, "because you're a big girl now". As a naive 5 year old, I bought into her forgetfulness and drank my milk thinking I was all grown up. But really, she just forgot and found a good excuse - which I believed.

This is memable, will be memable.

The day my dad walks me down an aisle, flower bunches hanging on either end of the rows of seats.
The day I stand with the man of my dreams at the alter.

The night will begin with a slow dance.
To a beautiful song we grew to love as our love did grow.
The pictures of our young childhood past will stream on media screens for our guests to reminisce.
The night is young, our life is new.

I was probably around 7 years old. I was scared out of my mind to swim. The teacher asked me to try and do front crawl. I decided to give it a shot, hopped up and began to flail my arms around. I remember opening my eyes underwater, floating somewhere between the top and bottom and seeing everything in slow mo. The teacher pulled me up and I started coughing up water. Since then, I've kinda always been scared of water.
